Wouldn’t it be great if there were a beauty product that you could use for your entire body? Well coconut oil has topped my list for being one of those products. It’s naturally antibacterial and antifungal, and it works as an excellent moisturizer! If I could just soak in a bath of coconut oil I would… Here are some great ways you can add coconut oil into your daily routine.

  1. Dry skin

Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer. The next time you have dry hands just take about a tablespoon of coconut oil and rub it into your hands. It’ll leave them feeling very soft afterwards. You can also use coconut oil in place of butter. While your cooking why not just rub some into your skin!

  1. Highlighter

Take a small amount of coconut oil and sweep it on top of the makeup you have already applied. It will give you a beautiful healthy glow to your skin.

  1. Use it to remove eye makeup

Coconut oil does an excellent job at breaking down eye makeup. It will also leave your eyes feeling hydrated and soft. Once you’re finished removing your makeup rinse your face with warm water.

  1. Acne

Due to coconut oil’s antibacterial and antifungal properties it works great as an acne cleanser. It will fight off the bacteria on your face without leaving your skin dry and flaky.

  1. Eat it!

Beauty comes from within. So lets be healthy from the inside out! Throw a tablespoon of coconut oil in your next breakfast smoothie. It will give you a rich creamy texture as well as a big dose of healthy fats and nutrients. Due to Coconut oil’s high lauric acid content it can help boost metabolism as well.

  1. Lips

When you’re doing your daily moisturizing give those lips a little love with some coconut oil. It’s a great natural lip moisturizer and doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals.

I have started adding coconut oil into my daily routine and my skin looks and feels amazing! Acne has subsided and my skin feels soft and has a nice glow to it. I usually buy my organic unrefined coconut oil from Trader Joes for about $6 a jar. You can always order it off Amazon or find it at your local supplement store.
